Brought up in a family that attended church regularly (on
Sundays), I was one who believed that GOD was real, but I didn't understand or
experience the power and essence of HIS love. I knew I didn't want to end up or
go to that place called hell. I got to a point where I didn't want to go to
Church anymore, due to a desire of becoming a professional basketball player. I
also fed on singing love songs because it brought attention, as well as girls.
As time passed on I had to make a choice between basketball and singing. I analyzed my height and injured knee, it was easy to make a decision. Singing was the choice, I could stand way in the back and let Troy Sanders, Vaughn Burks, and Carlos Munoz (members of the Finest Hour), do the lead singing.

Six months later "WOW" we received a record deal with Polygram Records. The group did pretty well, our first single " Make That Move On You Baby, " climbed to 31 on the billboard charts", But the worse came to worse, the promotional team along with Vivan Scott (executive producer) left the company. In addition, the President of the company also departed. With the new President taking charge and bringing in new ideas, the group along with P.A.Z management, L. Armstead Edwards & Pattie LaBelle, decided to disperse from Polygram. During this two year wait for a new record deal, promises were made, those same promises weren't kept. I finally got to a point where I was sick & tired of being sick & tired. Tired of my promiscuous life style, tired of trusting in man who did not keep their word I knew it was time for a real change.
So one night, while praying, something strange occurred. The prayer that I usually prayed spilled out differently. I usually thanked GOD for Finest Hour, but this time, I gave HIM Finest Hour. Here's the way it came out "God you can have Finest Hour, you can have everything. Just make me whatever you want me to be." This pray was made with a sincere heart. The next morning I woke feeling a sense of freedom and peace - weights were lifted off of my soul.
A few weeks later I went to a church revival. God dealt with me like I had never experienced before! For the first time in my life, I felt like a blanket of love took over me and the next thing I knew I was on the floor weeping with exceeding joy. The following day the preacher (Pastor Best) stated that God wanted to anoint my voice. While slain in the spirit, GOD told me to record a Gospel album. Ever since that wonderful experience in my life, GOD has been pouring down words and melodies in my heart to write on paper. HE is the originator, the TRUE writer of all the songs. I am glad to announce I have finally finished the album that's called "IN THE STORMS".
