Born on the 30th of may, Sammie Okposo a.ka. “Mr. Wellu Wellu” is Nigeria born multiple awards winning
international gospel recording artist. He dedicated his youthful years to his local
church playing the piano for the choir from age 10. He started doing music
professionally in 1992 when he joined the Nigeria Movie Industry as Movie Sound Track Producer and later ventured into Music Engineering & Production. Today,
he is credited for producing hit records for some of the biggest names in the Nigerian music scene.

Sammie Okposo, is a United Nations Youth Ambassador for World Peace, who has featured prominently in sold out concerts all over Africa, Europe, America, Nigeria and most importantly, “The Experience” with Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on The Rock Church, and has had the privilege of sharing same stage with the likes
of Donnie MCclurkin, Israel Houghton, Mary Mary, Fred Hammond, Ron Kenoly, Cece Winans, John Legend, Kirk Franklin, Chevelle Franklyn, Papa San, Don
Moen, Micah Stampley, Jessy Dickson, Nicole Mullen, Maxi Priest, Shaggy, Miss Elliot, Lionel Peterson, Angelique Kidjo, Koffi Olomide, Awilo Logomba. Sammie not only revolutionized, but also changed the face of Gospel Music in his home country of Nigeria, breaking all barriers to become the first gospel artiste to sell millions of copies of his work and the first gospel artiste to get his music played everywhere (including Nite Clubs) and this has earned him major respect as an acclaimed performer and entertainer so much so that Globacom (a major telecommunication company in Africa) made him Brand & Image Ambassador.

Sammie is an exceptional music producer, Psalmist, Entertainment Consultant and
CEO of Zamar Entertainment. The year 2000 will always remain in the mind of
gospel lovers in Africa as Sammie took the African music scene to another level
with the release of his debut album titled Unconditional Love. The hit track of the
album “WELU-WELU” gained a lot of local and international popularity so much
that in 2004, Sammie was invited to perform at the Martin Luther King Day and
July 4th American Independence Day Celebration respectively by the then United
States of America Ambassador to Nigeria.

Sammie with “D X Generation” band are labeled as one of the most electrifying
musicians and inspiring voices out of Africa. His music has won him not only a wide
audience and critical acclaim, but also numerous awards in appreciation of his
works, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, ADDICTED and NO MORE DRAMA.
Speaking of his current wave making single titled “Naija Dey Bam” from his brand
new double CD Album (The Statement), Sammie says “I'm so excited about it and so very grateful to God and everyone that featured in both the music and video,
it’s a sign that we can come together and believe in our very place of existence whilst we carry with us globally, the message of hope, love strength and restoration.

Watch out for Sammie and “D X Generation” band as they embark on the North
America “Out Of Africa” 2011 Tour, hitting major cities in the US & Canada being
