ANNE INYANG

From a humble background, Princess Anne Inyang dabbled into music when she was sent to live with her Aunt in Surulere, Lagos from her teens. That gave her the opportunity of listening to several musicals.  She later formed an all-girl band known as G.4 and while rehearsing one day, they were discovered by a well-known personality in music.  This was what gave her a break and she started singing jazz in his club from a very tender age. Her lyrics changed when she gave her life to Christ and the first song she wrote is the popular song “Things are getting better”.  Later she wrote, “God cannot lie”, “You are worthy Lord etc.” and the list began to grow.
The experience of having a live encounter with Christ in 1984 brought her to The Redeemed Evangelical Mission which was then abbreviated as The REM until she suggested the acronym TREM. In TREM she contributed her quota by introducing the writing of convention Theme songs to preserve the theme, of which she wrote several including:-
HOLY HABITATION, FULLY COMMITTED, PURE FIRE, POWER IN THE WORD.
She also wrote the school anthem of Word of Power School. She joined the Evangel Voices in 1984. Later she became a worship leader and eventually, the Music Director.  She introduced a lot of innovations into Praise/Worship leading, through the several trainings and workshops she organized. She is a soul winner as well.  It was her idea that gave birth to the soul winning outreach group – The Word Ambassadors.
Princess Anne became a Recording Artiste in 1996 with the release of her first album ALL THE WAY WITH JESUS, which houses the evergreen hit AKANAM NKWE. Today, she has 8 successful albums and many hit songs, the latest titled AWESOME.
She has graced many altars and stages both in Nigeria and abroad including the annual Aso Villa National Thanksgiving, Calabar Christmas Carnival, Akwa Ibom State 9,999 Carol Nights, Rivers State Government events, church crusades and conventions, Sera Awards, Annual Navy get together and many Corporate events. She has graced many international stages like the Black Music Festival in Detroit, Michigan and performed in 10 cities in U.S.A (including Hawaii), Congo, Poland, Germany, England, Ghana and South Africa, and has ministered with great gospel acts like Panam Percy Paul,  Kingsley Ike, Hope Davies, Shirley Caesar, Kurt Carr, Donnie McClurkin, Ron Kenoly, Lionel Peterson, Fred Hammond, Rebecca Mhlope, Judy Jacobs, Cece Winans to mention a few.
She studied Secretarial Administration, and later, Banking and Finance at Yaba College of Technology but because of the passion she has for touching lives through her inspiring songs, she quit banking in 1998 (First Bank of Nigeria Plc) and went into full time ministry and professional music.

She has won several laurels both locally and internationally to compliment her efforts including United Nations Peace Ambassador Award. Apart from music, she is also now a Pastor with Household of Love Church, Ajah.
